WHO AM I?

My name is Kim, and I have had the good fortunate of being able to travel the world for work. I am a professor, but I have had the great fortune of being able to teach courses like international journalism, where I get to travel with students internationally to produce a magazine–it is way more fun that it sounds. On most work trips, I try to add on a short (or longer) adventure, often solo. For many years, I told myself, “just wait until you find the RIGHT PERSON and then you can take adventures.” But, why wait? I might be waiting a long time. What I have learned during the pandemic was how much I missed connecting with other people and getting the opportunity to learn from other people in other places. After reflecting on the last year when everything was shut down, borders were closed, and we were basically stuck at home, I decided I would be purposeful with my life and try to live life to the fullest. I truly hope to be able to experience ALL OF THE THINGS I want to do. I love food, and I LOVE wine, so that is something I am always on the look out for. I am also a runner and hiker, so many of my trips will involve one or both! My goal is to share my tips, recommendations must-dos and experiences as I take on solo traveling domestically and abroad. My daughters say that my adventures always lead to other “adventures,” and I’ll share all of that as I share my stories with you. Thanks for coming along! I am about to be really brave and do very big things!
